Each home is different in its own respect. In some members may be more . again in that working/earning members may be different . Requirements in terms of the liking of the members again will be different. SO various factors play a crucial role in the home environment. But the basic thing in life is management . For any management, whether man, material or time, first requirement is to understand clearly the availabilty in terms of quantity and quality. Then plan the requirements , short term or long term. IF that is done, then things will go smoothly. Of course , there may be unexpected setbacks or sudden twists. Some cushion or tolerance is always to be kept. we will analyze some situations to understand our role. Husband and wife are both are working . the children have to be looked after. they can use the creche or if lucky enough , get the grand parents to do the job. Or if they can get a reliable maid, who can do both the child care and household , we can keep them in the house to assist . Here again the money payment involved, the reliability of the maid, alternate solution in case the maid takes sudden leave etc are to be taken into account. Once the understanding between the spouses is clear as to what is their role in the time period they spend at home, particularly when both are totally spending their maximum time at job outside the house, both in terms of spending time, doing household chores and in spending money, then things will automatically go in the right direction. The basic thing is to keep in mind that the rules in life are man made and it has to be flexible enough so that interest of all parties concerned can be taken care of.
