Christmas Wishes, New Year's Hopes and AspirationsBY: Eve | Category: Others | Post Date: 2009-12-15
It's still a few days before Christmas and New Year is just about three weeks away. We are all celebrating the holidays in our own way; different beliefs, myths and other rituals that we have practiced throughout the years. Whatever we do, we all make sure that we are happy about doing them, we enjoy doing these with our families and friends and we all share the same holiday moods whatever parts of the world we are in. It is also this time of the year that we have our own personal wishes for Christmas, and hopes for the coming New Year. It would be a good idea to share some of these thoughts so each of us would find out why we wish and hope for things in our lives and for others as well. My Christmas wish starts with good health for all of us - my family and friends included. That would mean praying for many more years to share with all my loved ones many Christmases and New Years together. My hope for the New Year is again family -oriented- it's still about good health for all of us and safety, too, since most of the family travel to work. I wish this writing site would go on for as long as it takes; wishing that I would still be writing here for as long as they want me here. I wish for continuous writing jobs, as many as I can handle. I am doing three right now, one is about to end.. so I am looking for another writing job to fill up that vacant time. I hope to find that early next year. I wish that I may be given the talent to be more creative in my writings. I wish I don't have what they call the ‘ writer's mental block'; sometimes I suffer from this because it takes me more than an hour to find the right sentence to start my article. If I'm not pleased with the first sentence, I can't start the article…. maybe you would know how that feels. I wish for peace, world peace throughout. I wish those young American soldiers can go home to their families, that also goes for all soldiers in the war zones who are considered aliens in those countries who have their own internal wars. I wish that there would be less pain, sickness, deaths, unemployment, abuse and corruption all over the world. I wish the global crisis would end. I wish more people would love the environment and help save Mother Earth because she's the only living planet we have. As for the New Year, I pray and hope that all my Christmas wishes come true. I'm not the only one wishing for these things to happen; it's likely everyone else in the world is wishing the same things I am wishing for. Isn't it great that everybody would wish for the same things to come true? It's like we are all united as one family in the whole wide world; if only we can have peace, understanding, patience, respect and love among ourselves then we wouldn't be having these problems that we wish would just go away. Let's all keep positive thoughts about our wishes, hopes, aspirations and dreams for this Christmas and for the New Year. I believe that if all of us would drive that positive energy towards all these positive wishes and hopes we have for everybody, then it is possible that all our wishes and hopes would come true. It may come a long way; a bit slow at the start, but then we have to take that first step somewhere. It starts with you and me, and then we have our wishes and hopes that would become realities if we truly believe in them. For all you know, all these wishes and hopes would come true. Just pray deep in our hearts and believe that they will. And oh, just an added afterthought, I wish I would be given a Christmas bonus by my employers! Well, it's Christmas, and everybody's entitled to a surprise. I love surprises so hopefully, ( and pray) that I would get my wish! Merry Christmas everyone, and may your wishes come true!
