Cleansing is the first step of all skin care program. The purpose of cleaning, as the name suggest, is to clean the skin from any dust, deposited oil, dead cells etc. Process of application of cleaners is also important to effect a thorough cleansing. Select a good cleanser, pour it on soft, clean cotton and gently scrub off the dust etc off your face. Take extreme care that you are not rubbing your skin surface. You perform the process of cleaning one in the morning and one in the evening. Toning is the second step followed by cleansing. Toning is another important step that is extremely important for closing of skin pores. When you are performing the cleaning process, the cleansers have the property to open-up your skin pores. This facilitates in thorough cleaning. But these open pores if not closed can accumulate more dust and oil than before. So it is important to close the pores after cleaning. Toners are available in the market. Select a good toner and apply it on your cleansed skin. The process of application of toner is same as that of cleaner, pour few drops of toner on cotton, and gently dab it on your skin. This will remove any remains of cleanser deposited on your skin and will close all your pores. Exfoliation of your skin is another step to be followed once a week. Exfoliation is the process of removal of dead cells of your skin. These dead skins are a big contributors to pimples and black heads. Cleansers do remove some dead skins but are not 100% percent effective. A good exfoliator can remove the unwanted, loose, dead cells from your skin making it look a lot healthier and fresher. Moisturizing, the last step of skin care program. After you perform the above threes steps of skin care program, your skin has a tendency to become dry. If you are cleaning and toning your skin twice a day, then it means you will have to apply moisturizer twice. During cleaning you are actually removing the oil deposits from your skin. Oil of your skin has a big role to play in giving your skin that smooth and glowing look. But after the process of cleansing, the oil (with dirt) is removed and skin becomes very dry. The dry skin becomes wrinkled and times become flaky. This looks quite abhorring and it must be prevented in all cases. The bad effect of improper moisturizing your skin is devastating. The best way to apply moisturizer on your skin is by using your clean hands. Gently message the moisturizer on your forehead, T-zone, cheeks and your lips area. By gently messaging, your are increasing the blood supply to your skin. Give yourself some five minutes daily for messaging on your skin. This gives it a very glowing complexion. In addition to above steps, take care to remove all your make-up before your go to bed. Rather do complete cleaning before you sloop. Always apply sun screen and go out in sun.
