After the consumption of allergic food person's immune system produce specific antibodies IgE to protect the body from dangerous effects of food which is also referred as self defense mechanism of the body. If next time someone consumes the same food then immune system reacts very badly and produce large amount of chemicals called histamines for self defense. The chemical histamine creates lots allergic signs and symptoms in different parts of the body including gastrointestinal tract, respiratory system, cardiovascular system and skin. Food allergy can be easily recognized like shin rashes, swelling of lips, tongue, throat and face, wheezing and abdominal pain.
