Politics is about a group of people taking decisions for implementation of schemes for the masses. We have our own priorities in day to day life to spend time viz attending school, college, office etc and doing household chores. After all this we may spent some time reading newspapers and analyze the news. In general we try to find fault with the decisions of the politicians , as they are not making much benefit to us. First thing to remember is that the politicians are also humans like us and they have their own limitations in terms of resources and time etc. So what we can do about it. It is a good practice to read the news and keep ourselves updated about the happenings around us. It is also good to critically anlyse the decisions/indecision of politicians. Further to that we can give our opinion about how or what we expect the politicians to do for betterment of the people . For example, we can suggest where more buses can be run, how the roads are congested in some place and as to how it can be regulated by alternative traffic routes, where more subways or over bridges are required etc. Of course these may be supposed to be the work of the politicians , but as citizens , if we can express our requirements , then the politicians can better implement by prioritizing the activities. Also, we can discuss the issues by writing to the "letters to the editor" column and also write to the concerned person or department. Nowadays internet is so useful that we can also put our views on the blog sites .
