Time after time in US wars against middle East countries, the world has witnessed massive air campaign with high degree of success. Iran has learned a lesson from these air campaigns. In order to win, you have to strike the enemy and be untouchable at the same time. A combination of Air defense and Air strike capabilities will determine the fate of the war. Ahmadinejad is right. The time of the nuclear bomb is past. Iran needs only a much stronger Air defense system. Once Iran has her own Air defense system, with capabilities to shoot down any flying object over her air space, she become a superpower. There are three technology components of building an Air good defense system. 1. Detection 2. Guidance 3. Gelivery Iran has all three part of this complicated puzzle. Putting them together will take between 2 to 5 years and make enough rackets to cover all major cities and installations might take another two years. I have no doubt that Iranians with so many talented young engineers are capable of carrying out this task. The question is if the political leaders in Iran could identify this weakness in Iran's strategy. It is not enough to be able to hurt the enemy in a conventional warfare, You have to limit the enemies ability to hurt you. If Israel attack Iran today, a few Israeli aircraft will not return home. That is not a strong deterrence to prevent an attack. Iran Air defense should be build from ground up to eliminate at least 50% of the aircraft. If Israel loses its attack capabilities in a few air strikes then it will loses even a ground assault from Syria or Lebanon let alone alone from a one million man strong basij forces. Israeli f-16 aircraft are not weapons of choice in a war with big nation like Iran. If I would be in Israel shoes, I would negotiate with Arabs a peace deal and defuse the tension. Iran is gaining popularity on Arab streets, it is a matter of time when poppet regimes will be toppled by angry Arabs over their cowardliness to deal with Palestinian issue. There are only three choices for Israel. 1. Peace and integration with Arab population. 2. War now before Iran is a superpower. 3. War on a latter date which will result in total capitulation of Israel. In any case Israel with current status as unquestionable dominate power in Middle East will be not exist in ten years. The area of technological warfare with little boots on ground is soon over as other nations will have access to basic technologies to build missiles and air defense system. We are back to colonialism time when the imperialist should be present to control, people of United States are not ready to sacrifice and go along with reconstitution of draft in order to have access to oil reserves. From this perspective Obama should get away from these Zionists surrounding him and extend a hand toward Iran. People of United State are tired to sacrifice for sake of Israel. Iran should be treated as equal partner and be allowed to develop its peaceful technologies. You cannot stop creative people from creating. If you pressure them too much they will create things to hurt you back. Read the story of over 3000 years of Iran civilization. Iran will always overcome the enemies. Where is Alexander not so great? Where is Genghis khan? Where is Arabs that ruled the country? Iran is still standing and will be there long after Israel is only a memory of the past.
