Men are a lot like women. They can be complicated, moody, persistent, resilient and many more of these things. They feel like we do- they get mad, they cry, they get frustrated, they can be funny, happy and contented. So what makes them different from us? If you think that they have muscles, think again! Women have muscles,too. They become bigger if we do the proper exercises like weightlifting to enhance them. The difference lies in the hormones that produce muscles for both our bodies; the men have more of this kind of hormones so their muscles are more prominent than ours. Talk about musculinity which refers to them and feminine which refers to women. Men are supposed to be macho, strong, tough, a bit rugged and always the all around-handy person around the house. Well, women can have those traits,too, because we are no longer the dampsel in distress who waits for rescue from our prince charming. Women have adapted to activities that men do even at home. Personally, I like men who treat me as their equal in almost everything. However, I still like to be treated as a woman who is respected, admired, loved and cared for. Men are capable of doing that and they do that well, too. Men sometimes act as boys because they need to be loved, pampered and they need our assurance that they are doing the right things. They can be dependent on us for some emotional support, they need our understanding and sympathy and they need to be reminded that they are not alone in their quest for success and happiness in life. I have men friends whom I have known half my life. I am still getting to know a few more men who are interesting enough to add to my list of men friends. For all it's worth, you can have a man as your best friend. I have one and he's been my best friend for a very long time. And just for a little trivia, I have a blog wherein I filled up a portion that asks for more information about me. Well, I wrote down the following as: I love David Cook, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Jack Bauer, Captain Jack Sparrow, George Clooney, Ryan Seacrest and Little Prince. Having given that information, I feel happy to let you know that I love them even though some of them are only characters in a movie or TV series... still, they represent the kind of men that I like and admire.
