A good form of entertainment is watching movies. This type of entertainment helps you forget your problems even only for a short while. You have the choice to watch the movies which you like be it comedy, romance, action, fantasy, thriller, love story, animation and drama. When you watch a movie it's like you are brought to another place where you let your imagination go as you like it. It's this time that you feel you can be the hero, you can be the villain, and you can be the lady in distress. So engrossed are you that you find yourself repeating dialogues from the movie said by the character you want to be. You would even be able to remember these words after the movie, and later on find some sense in those words in your life. Sometimes, the quotes from the movies may apply to your life, you can make them your expressions; sometimes they don't make sense at all and you just want to quote these words because you just like saying them so.

I like watching movies…but the funny thing is the last movie I saw was about five years ago and I can't remember the title of that movie. But if you ask me the first movie I saw as a little girl was -Jack, the Giant Killer-. All I can remember about it was that the hero was cute and was named Jack, an ordinary man who was in love with a princess. The setting was similar to the Arabian nights like that of Aladdin…the villain was a sorcerer who had a giant that he used to conquer people and their lands. I don't remember any quotes from that movie… maybe I was too young to recall ….

I like action movies and my first in line would be all the James Bond series. I get to watch the old ones played by Sean Connery thru vcds, then later on DVD, then a lot later on through cable. Who would ever forget our hero saying -Bond, James Bond- with that noticeable British accent of his. Of course, Pierce Bronson also said those famous words and so did the present James Bond, Daniel Craig. How do I get to apply it to my life? I don't really except for fun, I sometimes say my name like James Bond did.

Okay, the next one would be Daniel Day Lewis who starred in the movie -The Last of the Mohicans-, the movie was set in the 18th century where there was a cavalry of soldiers who would always fight with the Indians for one reason or the other. This movie was actually a combined action and love story because there were bloody fight scenes; a love story because there was the love between the Indian hero and an American white girl played by a pretty actress whose name I can't recall at this time. Oh, but if you ask me what quotes I remember from that movie, I can recall what our hero told the girl he loved when he was about to escape when they were being captured by the villains:

-I'll find you. No matter where you are, no matter how far, no matter how long. I'll find you.- Sigh, sigh, sigh… I was just really thrilled to the bones when I heard him say that before he made his escape. Who wouldn't be, if you were a girl and somebody would say that to you, you'd feel like you want to live forever till the man gets to find you!

Then there's Tom Cruise and his movies. I could only laugh at myself when my friends were feeling so romantic about the actor because of what he said in his movie -Jerry McGuire-. I admit I had to watch the movie three times on video before I could recall what and where he said those lines and also that of Renee S. to complement their dialogue to each other. Tom C. said the famous lines -You complete me- and Rene S. answered -You had me at hello-. With his MI series, the only quotes I remember would be -should you and any of your team be caught, we deny knowledge of your existence…this tape will disintegrate in five seconds-. That's about it.

I also saw Titanic on video and I remember my friends telling me that I have missed at least ˝ of my life for not watching it on the big screen. I watched it again on cable for many times and each time I still get goose pimples whenever the scene where the ship is about to break and go down with the hero jack and Kate into the water. I just remember Kate saying over and over again -Jack, Jack, and he would say -you're crazy Kate, why did you do that?.. when she went back to the ship to be with him. Sigh; talk of true and never ending love.

Then there was Terminator… The first series I remember the hero saying to Sarah Connor -Come with me if you want to live-. The same line was repeated in Terminator 2 this time said by Arnold S. as the terminator himself. There were other quotes like -Hasta la vista, baby-. Then the famous line said by the terminator -I'll be back-. Ice-cold, non-feeling but well said and acted by a robot portrayed best by the actor. Then came Terminator 3 and I can remember the terminator saying -Talk to the hand-. This quote has been used by my friends when they like to annoy each other and whoever gets pissed off would say the line -Talk to my hand- or change the hand to another word like ‘talk to the wall- or whatever fancies them at their moments of annoyance.

I'm sure you have your own favorite quotes from the movies you watched. I've seen the classic movie on cable where the famous words were said, -Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn,- and the other classic movie which had the quote -You dirty rat-, and the one quote which had a true meaning of patriotism in Superman as said by superman himself, -I stand for truth, justice and equality for all men.- To which Lois Lane replied, -That's what all the politicians say-. That made me laugh…. I just love movies!!
