Feet speak much louder about your personality than your face or physique. A well cared perfectly clean, hydrated and manicured foot is an indicator of a persons focus on detailing and sensitivity. A foot is one part of human body which is farthest from our brain and exposed to the most severe of conditions. Not only the complete load of the body is resting on them but they are also exposed to environmental pollution. The problem of feet becomes more visibly during summer. During winter you can cover your feet by wearing full shoes but in summer you are forced to wear open foot-wears. This exposes your foot to UV radiation which makes the skin tan and look dull. The dust and pollution makes the skin of your foot dry and dirty. Due to this some area of skin, if not properly cleaned, is liable to dark patches and rough skin.

Here we will discuss some very simple to implement ideas about foot care.

Regular Pedicure at Home

Step One of self pedicure is doing away with your extra nails and removal of old nail polish. You shall never apply a new nail polish over and above the old one. This is very common habit observed in majority of women. Due to shortage of time and rush to leave for work, they generally use this shortcut. All nail polish contain chemicals. If you leave an old nail polish applied on your nails for a long time they have a bad effect on your nails. Try to apply a fresh coat on nail polish after every three to four days. Do not forget to completely remove the old layer

Step two asks you to remove the dead skin of your feet. Removal of dead skin is easy and should not be done forcefully. I have seen women using pumice stone to rub the skin of their feet. This is a disaster. Never do this. Instead the correct way to remove dead skin is by using a pumice sponge. Use moderately warm water for soaking your feet. The temperature of water shall be just sufficient to allow you to put your feet inside without any stress. Keep you foot soaked for ten minutes. You can also mix a mild shower gel in warm water for thorough cleansing. Use pumice stone to gently rub the skin, soles, toes, ankles. After you have used pumice sponge you can also exfoliate the any remaining dead skin by use of a suitable cream. In the end of step two you shall rinse your feet in a flowing tap water and gently dab it with a soft towel.

Step three must be done with care. Soak your finger tips with the warm water and gently rub it on cuticles. Take a manicure stick and with careful and soft hands push your cuticles towards the root of your nails. After the cuticles are pushed back use the same stick to gently scrub off the surface of your nails Objective is to push the cuticles back and remove any remaining dead skin.

Step four is final where you shall use a good moisturizing cream and apply it on foot. You can use this moisturizer to gently message your nails. You can also use Vaseline gel to message your nails on regular basis. After you have messaged your feet, clean off the nails for any moisturizer. Use a good nail polish remover to clean your nails and apply a fresh one.
