Shopping For My Christmas TreeBY: Eve | Category: Shopping | Post Date: 2009-12-01
It's only 23 days before Christmas and I haven't started decorating my home. I 'm done with my shopping of gifts for all my siblings and some close friends. I've done my grocery shopping and stocked up some goodies; though I would have to go back again this weekend and the week after this. I'm going shopping for my Christmas tree! Well, where I come from, we can't get a 'live' cut up tree to put inside the house. All we have here are artificial trees that you decorate with a lot of colorful trimmings, sparklers and colorful lights. These are called the artificial Christmas trees or ready-made ones that are already decorated. You can also choose to buy a bare one- no trimmings, just the tree and you can buy the decors and decorate the tree your self. The artificial trees range from a foot high to ceiling high, maybe about 8-12 feet! They come in many colors like the basic green some come in gold, white, blue, silver, gold and white, red and a combination of many colors you can ever imagine. They can be made from wood, plastic, metal, shimmery materials, paper, glass and wires. Since everything is about environment, some creations come from recycled cloth, glass, paper, plastic, used tires, broomstick, used fruit juice sachets and a lot more. I'm thinking of buying a small Christmas tree, about a foot tall, as a center piece on a table in the living room. I'm thinking of buying three of these- one in the living room, one in the dining room and one for display at the terrace. I would buy one made from metal, one from shimmery materials and one from wood. I already saw these small Christmas tree at the mall and they are up for a good discounted prize. They are already decorated with colorful sparklers, trimmings and even snowflakes. I would buy the ones that are colored red, green and gold. I like these colors because they are happy colors. We already have our old reliable 10 year old Christmas tree made from pop-up glass, about 4 feet tall. All I do is change trimmings, add more new ones and add more colorful lights. I love this pop-up glass Christmas tree because even without the decors and other Christmas trimmings, it stands as an all-year- round decor for my home. It gets trimmed up for special occasions like Christmas! I'm excited about my shopping and getting those three small Christmas trees. In due time, my home will look like it's really Christmas and I am just excited and looking forward to it! And it's just good that I don't have to spend too much time decorating my Christmas tree. I will feel relaxed, happy, contented and would enjoy Christmas with all my loved ones. Hope you'll enjoy your Christmas, too!
