I took a crazy trip earlier last year to travel on land, from Guangzhou, Canton to Yangshuo & Guilin in Guangxi. After 8-hours of non-stop driving, I was dead tired and could swallow a tiger. I saw a restaurant and rushed in to treat myself to a big feast.

My excitement soon turned into pain when I read the two scary Chinese words on the signage, pronounced as -Mei-You- which means NO or more accurately, -No, we don't have (anything)-. When that is the name of the restaurant, what can I expect?

Assuming they don't have anything left, my immediate reaction is to leave and find another place to eat until I heard my friend burst into laughter! I love this -Meiyou MEIYOU- business attitude, says Michelle, How cool is it to say, -We don't have ‘NO'-! I realize what it actually means is, we will never say ‘no!' in our restaurant.

-Sorry, we don't have it any more- are the most frustrating words when you're starving. It's such a lovely gesture to tell the guests that they will never be disappointed, but could this be possible?

So, to challenge the Mei-you Café, I tried to think of something they might not have. Instead of saying -NO-, they suggested places where I could get it. Ha! That's a truly an impressive manner!

Our company East Tours (www.east-tours.com) offer luxury custom tours and as a travel consultant, my work is to pamper the clients and give them whatever they are dreaming of. In a few occasions during the past, I'd have no choice but to tell the clients that -Sorry, we can't do it- but now, instead of saying No, I started to offer more choices and options and also give information to our clients on where and how they can travel the way they want.

Indulgence is a state of mind and it is our goal to never say No and to always make everyone's journey a most delightful and memorable one.
