Your home is a reflection of your personality. It is just right to keep your home as stylish, modern and elegant as it can be. You have the right to choose the best materials to build your home. Choosing timber floorings as your home floors bring out the good taste in you. Be it Engineered timber Plywood or the Solid timber floorings, both types equally bring out the elegance, flair and grandeur of your home.

If you are planning to change your home floorings, you can always go for timber floorings. There are many advantages if you use timber as your floors. However, you have to know the types of timber floorings you would want to use. You can narrow down your choices into the engineered timber floorings or the solid timber floorings. These two types have their own pros and cons and it would be good to know about these to help you pick one that you think would answer your home needs.

The engineered timber flooring is actually commonly known as Plywood. This is a kind of timber that went through a manufacturing process of being cut into equal lengths and widths, re-sanding or being made more polished to get its natural shine and other processes to make the floorings more durable and versatile in its uses. It has been sourced from the best timber wood. It is usually used as top cover floors to cover other surfaces like solid concrete or other old wood floorings. Its versatility has found its mark in the airline industry where the plywood is used as part of the aircraft-manufacturing process.

There are good advantages if you use the engineered timber or plywood as your home floorings. Firstly, Plywood is durable. It has long lifetime duration compared to other kinds of floorings. It can withstand different weather conditions. It can resist water spills and excess moisture. It is more resistant to heat. Its manufacturing processes made sure of that. Since the plywood floorings come with a- prefinished- look, cleaning is convenient with just a good dry mop to maintain its shine. If not properly cared for and well maintained, the plywood floorings can be re-sanded to regain its natural shine and luster.

Since the engineered timber or plywood is cut into measured lengths, these are convenient and easy to install right away. Although there may be slight deviations upon installation, you can easily fix them. But in most cases, there is no need since there is almost no difference once you walk on them and you would just feel that everything fits right. They are recommended to be used as floating floors. Because of all these good qualities of this type of Plywood floorings, it is more expensive compared to other types of timber floorings.

The Solid timber floorings are just as they are- solid timber floorings that did not go through any manufacturing processes. They are cheaper in costs. They are less durable since they are more prone to different weather changes. These floorings can absorb moisture and water spills because of their natural compositions. They are less durable in sudden climatic changes. The Solid timber floorings are not recommended for use as floating floors because they cause too much movement. Versatility of its use is mostly limited to home floorings and construction business. But just like the Plywood, the Solid timber floorings have a long life span if properly maintained and cared for. They also bring out the same good taste and grace just like the engineered timber or plywood floorings.

Choosing the right floorings for your home is a matter of personal choice. However, you must keep in mind the type of floorings you must pick should be that which would satisfy the qualities of durability, convenience, costs and the personality that you want to reflect on your home. Timber floorings have always been known for their durability, elegance and style. Either way, you can have the same reflection of personality to your home if you choose the Plywood or Solid timber for your house floorings. Both still reflect the stylishness, flair and grandeur of your home as you want it to be.
