Human growth has a direct correlation with the intake of Vitamins in our daily diet. No other nutrients are as important for body growth as Vitamins. When we are talking about growth you can do reasonably well without proteins, fats-can-be-spared, but without vitamins the growth will be seriously hampered. A small deficiency in vitamins will cause huge problems in later years.
Ask a teenager, his first requirements of life will be to grow reasonably taller. Vitamins have a big role to play in giving a good height to a growing boy. One has to be careful in taking enough vitamins during the early years to develop a reasonable gait.

Let us discuss briefly few basic details about vitamins. Broadly we can classify vitamins into two types: Fat soluble vitamins and water soluble vitamins. Vitamins soluble in water are essential for daily bodily functions. Every day we consume water soluble vitamins and remove it through sweat, feces and urine. Vitamin B and C is a water soluble vitamin.

Fat soluble vitamins are stored in body. When we intake food, fat soluble vitamins are consumed and excess is stored in our body. Vitamin A,D,E&K are types of fat soluble vitamins. Vitamin A is most important when it comes to development of height in a youngster. Human Growth Hormone (HGH) are stimulated by Vitamin A. When a baby is born, Vitamin A acts as a building block for the development of baby. Vitamin B6 is also very important for the growth of cells and building of muscles.

Vitamin A & B6 is available in plenty in wide variety of fresh meats, vegetables', fruits, and grains. Some times, vitamin intake is restricted due to the type of food we are consuming. To play safe, you shall maintain a regular medicinal dose of vitamin A and B6 in the form of tablets. Please be sure the person gets checked by a physician and seek his advice regarding vitamin intake. It must be remembered that tablets of vitamins are only half effective as compared to intake of vitamins through fruits, vegetables etc.
The height of human beings is also controlled by your genetic factors. But not letting everything in the hands of genetics; be sure to take enough vitamins to give that extra push necessary to gain that extra inch.

Breast milk is a major source of vitamin-A for infants. Vitamin-A is also found naturally in animal fats. Buffalos milk are also a good source for vitamin A. Egg yolk are also a very rich source of vitamin A. Butter, Ghee and vanaspati oils are source of vitamin A. Liver is also a good source of vitamin A.Vitamin-B6 can be naturally sourced from meat, vegetables. The focus shall be on intake of balanced diet rather than focusing on a particular nutrient. Physical exercise, muscle training, sports like basket ball, volley ball etc can also boost height to a great extent. You must regularly do stretching exercises for maintaining the necessary flexibility. You must be clear that a good personality is a lot more important than a good height.
