What To Do In Seattle On a Three Day TripBY: Pua Melia | Category: Travel | Post Date: 2009-11-02
Taking a three day trip to a different city can be a very enriching experience. You can get a good feel for what the city is all about and find many interesting ways to fill up your time. Seattle, Washington is a perfect city to take one of these quick trips to, and there are certainly plenty of things to do and see. There is so much to do, in fact, that you may have a hard time choosing what types of activities you wish to experience over the course of your three day stay. Let's explore some of the many scenic and cultural opportunities and experiences you can pencil into your schedule. For starters, there is no way that you will want to leave Seattle without touring the Space Needle. Seattle's most recognizable landmark offers one of the most breathtaking views that you will ever encounter. A quick ride in the elevator will have you 520 feet off the ground staring out at Seattle's beautiful landscape from above. Once you are done at the Space Needle, you can also find a different type of beauty in Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park. This park is full of original public artworks that are free to view, and the creativity involved is definitely a sight to behold. If you are one of those people that can't go a morning without a cup of steaming hot Starbucks coffee, then Seattle can offer you something that no other city can. The original Starbucks coffee shop, complete with the original sign out front, is definitely worth checking out. Seattle is also well known for its contributions to music, and the Experience Music Project is an interactive museum that allows for a hands on experience that few museums can rival. From learning about many of Seattle's great artists to trying out instruments for yourself, there is much to see and do at the Experience Music Project. Taking a ride on Seattle's Monorail is inexpensive and a new experience for most, while shopping at the Pike Place Market offers a different shopping experience with many traditional food and clothing stalls. From checking out the Museum of Flight to taking in a ballgame at beautiful Safeco Field, the city of Seattle offers more than enough to fill up your three days trip.
