iPhone review summary from experts of top websitesBY: Tim | Category: Technology | Post Date: 2009-03-28
The experience of iPhone varies a lot from person to person. Most people love iPhone and quite a few limitations of the previous version have been overcome in the new iPhone 3G. Review of iPhone 1.0 from the top websites ( Not the new iPhone 3G) MOUTHSHUT - India iPhone Review ( out of 5 points) Sound Reception: 3 points Ease of Use: 5 points Style & Design: 5 points Range of Features: 3 points Reliability & Durability:3 points Value for Money: 3 points NEW YORK TIMES - The iPhone Matches Most of Its Hype - The phone is so sleek and thin, it makes Treos and BlackBerrys look obese. - It's fast, beautiful, menu-free, and dead simple to operate. - The iPhone is revolutionary; it's flawed. It's substance; it's style. CNET REVIEW: The good: The Apple iPhone has a stunning display, a sleek design, and an innovative multitouch user interface. Its Safari browser makes for a superb Web surfing experience, and it offers easy-to-use apps. As an iPod, it shines. The bad: The Apple iPhone has variable call quality and lacks some basic features found in many cell phones, including stereo Bluetooth support and 3G compatibility. Integrated memory is stingy for an iPod, and you have to sync the iPhone to manage music content. The bottom line: Despite some important missing features, a slow data network, and call quality that doesn't always deliver, the Apple iPhone sets a new benchmark for an integrated cell phone and MP3 player. MAC WORLD: Pros Beautiful hardware; bright high-resolution screen; elegant touchscreen interface; impressive e-mail, Web, and phone features; built-in iPod functionality; Wi-Fi networking. Cons Browser can't display Flash content; text-messaging tool supports SMS but not iChat; no support for text selection, cut, copy, and paste; no support for stereo Bluetooth headphones; limited Bluetooth support; inline headphone jack incompatible with many third-party headphones; only supports slower EDGE cellular data network. USA Today: Apple's iPhone isn't perfect, but it's worthy of the hype 5 things I like 1 - Terrific widescreen iPod and clever Cover Flow feature. 2 - Smart sensors that change the orientation of the screen from landscape to portrait mode 3 - Gorgeous 3.5-inch multi-touch screen does exceptional job displaying pictures, Internet, maps, e-mail etc. 4 - Flicking through contacts and pictures, pinching to make pix and the Web larger, and tapping on the intelligent virtual keyboard is fun (once you get the hang of it). 5 - Phone is easy to dial despite lack of physical keypad. Visual voicemail. 5 things I'd like to see 1 - Faster "3G" or "third generation" data network 2 - Removable battery 3 - Greater storage (through storage slot) 4 - Extra features including GPS, IM, voice calling, Adobe Flash , and using your own music library for ringtones. 5 - Lower price PC World Pro: * Innovative design * Good mobile Web browser Cons: * Expensive * No third-party non-Web apps (like Word) Article Source: http://www.writearticles.org About Author / Additional Info: References: http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/apple-iphone-8gb-at/4505-6452_7-32309245.html http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/27/technology/circuits/27pogue.html http://www.macworld.com/article/58733/2007/07/iphone_rev.html http://www.usatoday.com/tech/columnist/edwardbaig/2007-06-26-iphone-review_N.htm http://www.pcworld.com/article/id,137138/article.html mouthshut.com Additional Articles: * Finding Something Truly Unique on the Internet * Do you know that foods can also trigger migraine - severe headache? * Depression - Learn how to fight your biggest enemy * Comparison Shopping Online Helps You Save Money! * Changing Your Lifestyle To Manage Your Heart Problems Does this article violate or infringe on your copyright ?
