Acute Corornary Syndrome - Pain in Your Chest?BY: Deidre Dorsett | Category: Health | Submitted: 2010-07-14 20:49:42
You feel fine and then your chest starts hurting one day. You have all the symptoms of a heart attack and you think oh boy this is it. I'm having a heart attack. For many, they are having Acute Corornary Syndrome and they go to the emergency room and have this taken care of. However, for many others this isn't what they have. They have acute coronary syndrome that acts like a heart attack, but is much worse. People who are over fifty are said to have an increased risk of having this disease. Those who have a history of bad hearts are said to have this as well. In most cases, women might have different symptoms than men, but most of the are the same. This is something that many need to get checked out. They normally don't until it's too late and nothing can then be done for it. Now, most of the time you can catch this early on, however for some they have been too late. Many want to know what happens when a person has this syndrome. When a person has this syndrome their arteries are blocked so that enough blood can't pass through. The heart can't pump like it should and then you have not enough oxygen flowing through those arteries as the oxygen is carried through the blood. If this goes untreated for too long, a person can suffer from brain disease. It sounds really awful and it is, however you can make sure that you can prevent Acute Corornary Syndrome. How does one do this? You practice heart care for starters. You start also by making sure that you have a frequent visit to the doctors to keep an eye on this and you mention if there is any history of heart disease in your family. Prevention is hard so that is why there are more groups and people who are actively trying to get the word out to people. Many people in time have learned to tell when this was becoming an issue due to the prevention methods that those who are trying to educate people on have commanded to follow. There has been a decrease of cases now that more people are becoming aware of this disorder of the heart. When people know what to look for, they can take care of themselves. When they do this, they lessen the risk of this disease and can live a nice, healthy life. This is what we all want. The heart is a vital organ in our body and we need to learn to protect it. Here is just one way that we can do this. Article Source: http://www.writearticles.org/ About Author / Additional Info: Comments on this article: (0 comments so far)
