And don't forget to shop for educational toys, games or books for your kids at the science store. Best part of museums in Balboa Park is that on rotating Tuesdays the entry to most of the museums is free. You can also buy a seven day passport to the park which allows you to enter 14 museums in the park. Balboa Park is vast so it is quite obvious that you can't visit all of the museums in one day. It is best that you find a lodging in San Diego from where commuting to Balboa Park is not time-consuming.
