There are many who tune into shows such as the Bachelor or the Bachelorette to find their soul mates. There are Tons of guys or girls to choose from, but very little time to choose. This is the going theme and many think that this is a great show. However, is it really? The first thing is that they get the most annoying people on there. These are men or women who are trying to find a guy or girl with all these qualities. It's hard to find that many qualities in a person and make it legit. This can get sort of tedious. The other part is that they throw twists and turns in the scenes. They had one this season where the girlfriend or a friend called to say that one of the guys has a girlfriend. They throw that in there to eliminate a person and add to the television drama that keeps viewers like you tuned in. Then there is the issue that many of them are only looking for a fling. While they say they are looking for that person that completes them and so much more. This isn't always true. A person that you were looking to get to know you wouldn't just start making out with in a hot tub on live television. Then there are the parts that you have jealous exes and so much more that factor in. When the shows first started they were okay to some point. Now they have been getting sort of out of hand with all the dilemmas that happen in them. Not to mention on top of all that you have the fact that there is the whole idea that first of all you are putting your love life or lack there of on television for all to see. Many people out there who just can't get in the show wonder how desperate you have to be to actually do one of those shows? Not to mention when you have a child you are exposing your child to this as well. Then, there is the idea of how do you actually fall in love with someone in that amount of time? From what they have shown us, you don't. When you look at the results, you will find that most times, when they give the rose and propose, they don't make it. They either split before the wedding or end up in a divorce. Is this how love goes? Now that society teaches us that forever doesn't' have to be forever many think so, but what are we teaching people? It was bad enough when they started speed dating and more. Now, you have this? This is why I think that these shows while some might find them entertaining aren't that entertaining at all. In a way, they are demoralizing to think that you only get hot men and when you go on television. You can't meet a person and fall in love with them in that quick amount of time.
