Junk food is not only unhealthy but it also makes you fat. Even if you avoid junk food at home, you will find it difficult to avoid it at work. If you are fat and you have made a strict diet plan for yourself, you will find office hours disturbing your eating patterns forcing you to eat junk food most of the time. Almost everyone have to face junk food at work, even if they want to avoid it. Those who are following a diet plan to live healthy, complaint about it the most. Think of the treats and parties' office brings your way every time an employee has something worth celebrating. Whether it's promotion, pay raise, or any personal happiness, other team members are treated with sweets, pastries, cake and what not. All these items are enough to disturb your dieting by increasing calorie intake. This is a fact that avoiding junk food at work is difficult, however, not impossible. By following below mentioned tips you can avoid junk food at work to ensure healthy living. Set a limit: It is almost impossible to avoid junk food completely unless you have extreme will-power, however you can set a limit. Predetermine how much junk food you can allow yourself. Stick to that and keep note of what you are eating. Sometimes you may forget to take note of a piece of sweet you take in, to be a part of other's happiness but that sweet doesn't forget to add extra calories to your body. Don't publicize your anti-junk food plan: If you announce your plan to avoid junk food or limit it to a certain level you will only be pinpointed by others. It might be possible that your colleagues make fun of you. You may quit the idea of avoiding junk food at work due to peer pressure, so better keep it to yourself. Have a great sense of humor: If you say no to junk foods and your peers laugh or comment on your move, know how to tackle the situation without feeling awkward. Be humorous and turn things around by adding a tint of fun in the situation. Remind yourself of your goal to be slim: It is important to remind yourself of your goal to get a slim figure every time you extend your hand to take a junk food item. Thinking of your goal will let you stay on the track even at work. Take some healthy snacks with you: Taking some healthy snacks with you at work will give you an excuse of not eating junk. You can say "I have just taken this snack" or so. Take any healthy snack before taking a coffee break or after a bathroom fresh-up to keep junk food away. Take a note of your daily junk food intake: It's better to have a calorie diary or junk food diary in which you can make note of junk food you take in per day. This will help you know where you can cut off its consumption to stay healthy. Know about the reasons of high junk food consumption. It could be boredom, stress or peer pressure. Only when you know, you can avoid it. Read health related stuff: Reading health articles, work out plans, muscle building and dieting success stories will motivate you towards your idea of avoiding or limiting junk food at work. The reason of this motivation is that knowing that others are doing it and achieving the results will boost your confidence and achieving goals become easier. Be determined: Don't let anything disturb your diet plan. Be determined and stay confident you can do it. If you take things lightly it will only ruin your physique. So never let anything come your way, may it be your peers or your own desire to eat junk. Stay firm; after all it's all about living a healthy life that can't be compromised. Stay consistent: Consistency is very important in achieving any goal. If you do a thing today and forget it tomorrow you would never achieve what you wish to. If you can't refuse a junk food item offered by your colleague for the first time, never think you can't do it ever. Stay consistent. Get ready to take first step to say 'no' to junk food. You have to take this first step, it may seem difficult but it is definitely not impossible. Moreover, it is worth going for since it makes your life healthy and of course happy.
