The Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary is located in Goa. Goa is one of the hottest tourist destinations in India. Goa is known for its beautiful beaches. Some parts of Goa are known for their exciting night life. Goa is a tourist's paradise. One should not miss a visit to this gorgeous place. People can come to Goa and relax completely.

In Goa one can hire bikes to move around. This is a little expensive. The monsoon season is not a very good season to visit Goa as you cannot enjoy the beaches. So the monsoon months should be avoided. Some beaches in Goa have the hippie culture.

Spread over an area of 240 square kilometres, Bhagwan Mahavir is an interesting park. Situated at a distance of 57 kilometres from Panaji, the sanctuary is in Molem. The sanctuary has birds, mammals, reptiles and butterflies aplenty. Thus, a visit to this park is unique. A lot of tourists are attracted by the rich flora and fauna of this sanctuary.
The sanctuary, known for the sightings of the King cobra, has a lot of interesting and popular animals and birds.

There are many tourist attractions in the Bhagwan Mahavir wildlife sanctuary. One of them is the Tambdi Surla temple. Located in the northern part of the sanctuary, it is a small but beautiful temple. This temple, made out of basalt, has a mandapa and garbhagriha.

Another tourist attraction near this sanctuary is the Tambdi falls. A rocky ad winding path leads to the falls and that is why it is difficult to access. If you want to go there, you will need a registered guide. Situated near the Tambdi Surla temple, this fall is not very high. Karnataka border is the place, close to which it is situated.

The south-western part of the forest is where the Dudhsagar falls are located. 'Ocean of milk' is the meaning of the name, Dudhsagar falls. In Goa, this is the tallest waterfall. In India, it is the fifth tallest waterfall. The months of June and July are the months of the rainy season, during which the falls cannot be reached.
