Cheap vs. Durable Computer Keyboard - Which One to Choose?BY: Guest User | Category: Technology | Submitted: 2010-03-17 09:12:15
Computer keyboard comes the first, among other computer parts, that frequently needs replacement. Thus, we are often torn with indecision as to buying the right computer keyboard that would fit our needs and our budget. Almost all computer shops offer a wide variety of computer keyboard to choose from, some as low as $10 to a whooping $150. While it is obvious that cheap keyboard doesn't last long and are usual candidate for replacement, the more expensive ones provides durability and fancy features in addition. Weighing the difference between the two is a practical way to ensure that you get what you need at the price you deemed appropriate. So before you buy, why not consider these? First is to identify your need for a computer keyboard, and assess how much do you need it. Do you spend a lot of time online? Do you think that spending three hours in front of your computer is an understatement? If you don't then choosing a cheaper keyboard is a wise option. Not only does it saves you a dollar or two, but you could also buy two computer keyboards you within your budget. But of course, buying a cheaper keyboard has it drawbacks. Because when its close to dying, it will never give you a warning. It also has a fair life span, at least a year, depending on how frequent you use it. But given the price, you could always buy another one as back up. That would keep you working uninterrupted when your other keyboard go dead. On the other thought, having a costly keyboard might be worth a possession if you're giving your keyboard a daily drill. Some additional keyboard functions might also increase your efficiency and make you do more. Also, they are more likely to last a couple of years or so than the the cheaper one. Second, examine the keyboard carefully. It may have all the bells and whistles when you type, the sparking lights, the fancy design, and so on. Do you think you need all these? And with a sky-high price, are they worth keeping? Get a grasp, however, of the supplementary features of the unit as most of them may just purely be unnecessary. Check the special feature list indicated in the box of the keyboard. Some are just trying to bewilder the prospect buyers by having a long list of features that are entirely superficial. Scrutinize the so called "benefits" of those features, and don't be easily amazed by these computer keyboard add-ons. You might not need most of them. Third, assess the keyboard user itself. Is it for your nine-year old son? If it is, then opting a cheaper keyboard might be a wise choice. By all means, you do not want your more expensive keyboard to get soaked in a spilled soda, right? Indeed, having a durable computer keyboard is a good buy at a good cost, too. But at any rate, it's also good to have a low-cost keyboard as your spare peripheral. In the end, our ability to combine the words "cheap" and "quality" in one sentence would surely get you the computer keyboard you want.
