This small stretch of sand offers more than a little rest and relaxation. Situated along Florida's Gulf Coast, Clearwater Beach boasts everything from extravagant beach resorts to exciting pirate ship cruises. The fun starts with "Sunsets at Pier 60" where arts, crafts, sidewalk performances and musical concerts dominate Pier 60 on a nightly basis. This balmy beach festival takes place two hours before the gorgeous West Florida sunset.

After venturing through the bustling activity along the pier you should definitely consider choosing from one of the beach's delicious eateries. Everything from pizza to shrimp, you will never run out of options on Clearwater Beach. Restaurants like Crabby Bill's, Britt's Laguna Grill and Frenchy's South Beach Cafe offer an upbeat atmosphere in which to enjoy some of the best food offered on any of Florida's beaches.

After dinner, consider taking a casual stroll along one of the most beautiful beaches in the Western Hemisphere as you dip your hand and let the smooth pristine sand of the beach run through your fingers. Sit and rest along the shoreline as you take in the pure white aura of the sand and glare at the glistening light blue of the Gulf waters. You can also take the option of walking on the lighted beach boardwalk that runs the entire length of Clearwater Beach.

For fun and excitement you can experience a taste of the pirate world as you voyage along the Gulf Coast with Captain Memo's Pirate Cruise or witness the life aquatic at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. At the home of the Iron Man competition there is no shortage of sports as you can spike a volleyball at one of Clearwater Beach's volleyball courts or reel in a sea trout at the Pier 60 Fishing Pier. Not to mention jet skiis and parasail flights that are available at the Clearwater Marina and throughout the beach.

For a place to stay Clearwater Beach offers more than just simple lodging; it offers an unforgettable experience. From the Hyatt Regency Hotel to the Sheraton Sand Key Resort on Sand Key Island there are plenty of luxurious options offered here. If you want to go low key during your stay there are multiple cottage rentals to choose from. So the next time you decide to travel out, plan your getaway at Clearwater Beach where summer knows no end.
