Most people think that anything made from leather is hard to care for. On the contrary, it is not. There are good and simple tips to take care of your leather without spending too much. Remember that you must buy a leather spray and leather lotion. These are readily available in all stores and groceries. Buy the leather spray that does not contain any wax or silicone. This would protect your leather more and also would help preserve the natural oils in it. The leather spray should always be used each time you buy a new leather. You can use the spray for your old or used leather as well. Remember to use the lotion in good cool weather only. Test both products in an enclosed or hidden area before using on your leather. Don't use shoe cream, cleaning fluid, soap or mink oil to clean your leather. These may damage the natural look of your leather. Apply leather lotion every three months on your leather and you may apply more if needed. After doing so, always follow up with the leather spray for better protection. Remember to use wide plastic hangers or wood hangers to hang your leather to keep its proper shape and form. Don't place your leather in cover plastic since this will cause drying of the item. Instead make use of a breathable bag or covering to properly protect it. For more serious and hard to remove stains, seek the help of a professional leather cleaner. Anything leather is a good way of showing off your style. Leather is always a nice item to own. It can be stylish, sleek and expensive. Knowing how to take care of your leather would help you keep them in good condition for a long time.
