Go Around the World Through Military Travel Opportunity!BY: Guest User | Category: Travel | Submitted: 2010-04-03 07:23:09
The slogan "Join the navy and see the world" today is more appropriate than ever. Anyone who joins is very likely to experience military travel to an oversea destination as the U.S. have now military bases in 150 countries. Military travel is much more than simple tourist travel as it gives you the chance to live as the locals do and to immerse yourself as much (or as little) as you like in a new culture and way of life. If you ever wanted to experience life in a foreign country for one year or more, the U.S. military might be your chance to do exactly that. The marine, soldier, or sailor has in fact today more destinations to explore than ever before. The war areas are only a small part of the destinations of military travel. Even a war destination in the Middle East retains part of its travel benefits. Traveling to Iraq and Afghanistan can be a highly enriching experience as both countries have an amazingly old culture and history stretching far back in time. Military travel to Iraq or Afghanistan can be an opportunity to see with your own eyes what might seem like a live history lesson: people living, dressing, interacting and doing business as they did thousands of years ago. You can listen to chants of nomads as they might have sounded in Abraham's day, taste food and wines as they once were, prepared according to recipes from the dawn of time. Wherever you go in your military travel, whether it is a war zone or not, you will find yourself expanding your horizons and interacting with different cultures and ways of living. Among the military travel destinations, there are premium ones such as Britain, Germany, or France. If you ever dreamt of visiting one of these countries, but never had the chance to do it, the military travel might be the right answer for you. It has already been for millions of other Americans. And once you are in any of the European states, you can as well take advantage of the short distances and great transportation system to visit any other destination in Europe. Once in Germany, Britain, or France, you can transform every weekend liberty in an exciting trip to the beautiful and tranquil North (Sweden, Finland, Norway) or to the cozy and lively South (Italy, Spain). If you are looking for a travel to less known destinations, military travel might again be the answer. There are U.S. military bases all over the world, and military travel can take you anywhere from the former Soviet Union nations to the Fiji Islands, Hawaii, Japan or even the two poles. When it comes to military travel, not all enlistments are created equal. The longer your enlistment is, the more opportunities for travel you have, and the longer the time that you can spend discovering the world. If you join the career military personnel, your family can come and live with you free of charge on the military post. The U.S. military posts provide facilities for families, including housing and convenient places to do your shopping such as the PX. Military travel might be the chance to experience together with your family the amazing diversity of the world while keeping your expenses low or even non-existent. If your vocation is to serve your country and traveling is your hobby, the military career might be just the thing for you. Give it a try and check things out online or at the military recruiter closest to you. Military travel opens the door to the whole world for you to see and experience.
