Latest Cars Models in the Philippines: HondaBY: Maya Ballesteros | Category: Cars, Bikes and Trucks | Submitted: 2010-09-05 09:28:49
Honda Accord 2010 A deeply acclaimed premium sedan, the 2010 Accord gets a new dimension to the rich design as Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. releases an enhanced model during the first quarter off 2010. Starting with a premium interior design, the 3.5 liter Accord now enjoys the luxury of black leather on its seats. The systems for air conditioning and audio also undergo an improvement for optimum functionality and usage. The Honda Accord's highlighted feature is the i-VTEC or the Intelligent Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control. This 3.5 liter version of Accord responds satisfactorily to driver's demands as it is equipped with power capacity that reaches the maximum of 275 ps @ 6200 rpm. This variant of Honda Accord also features the technology of fuel efficiency called VCM or Variable Cylinder Management. This system enables less harmful emissions, fuel saving action and optimal power output because it can close down the cylinders when not needed during driving. The VCM regulates how many cylinders should be put to work during driving to match the driver's needs. The smooth transitions between active and non active cylinders of 6 to 4 or 3 is where the name comes from, VCM 643. When it comes to colors, the 3.5 liter variants come in Brilliant White Pearl and Polished Metal Night and Hawk Black. The 2.4 liter variants have the Alabaster Silver and Bold Beige. The Honda Accord of both variants come with automatic transmissions; there is an additional fee of Php 20,000 if the Brilliant White Pearl is your choice of color. The 2010 Honda Civic The Honda Civic is all about intensity and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is all out to try and provide such to the local market by delivering the 2010 Honda Civic. In line with its new, vibrant styling, the Civic now sports a new design of 16" multi spoke, three dimensional alloy wheels for the 1.8 S variant. This gives the best selling item a sharper look indeed and a more commanding presence. The new wheel design adds to the exterior looks by giving the body a balance between aerodynamic and aggressive attitude. In trying to keep its reputation of always giving the customers something new, Honda presents both the 1.8 S and the 2.0 S variants of the 2010 Civic with an exclusive color of Polished Metal, to enhance the sporty and modern feel of the vehicle. As the President and General Manager of Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. says, "There are several factors consumers consider in buying a car and color is one of the significant drivers in finalizing their decision. "Nowadays, consumers are getting savvy about the latest color trends. And so, we continue to revitalize our color line-up to suit the market's dynamic taste and preference. With a sleek Polished Metal body color matched with a bolder alloy wheel design, the Civic is designed to add vitality in its class." The 2010 Civic keeps its characteristic victorious elements - the winning driving performance, features that are way ahead in technology as well as bold design. Again, the word the designers were looking for is intensity. The Civic is made for pure intense driving experience. In order to give this to the customers, the 2010 Civic brings out the paddle shift technology, one that is inspired by racing. The technology is fun to use, available in both 1.8 S and 2.0 S variants and it is used to perform manual gear shift without the need of the clutch. The paddleshift is placed just behind the steering wheel for added convenience; it gives a deep pleasure during driving as it offers the manual transmission so close to the touch. This also adds to the safety of overall driving as you no longer need to take your hands off the steering wheel. The iVTEC technology has given Honda Civic a prominence in car market in that it manages to optimize power output while keeping fuel consumption to the minimum. The Civic registers a maximum power output of 140 ps at 6300 rpm for the 1.8 variant and 155 ps at 6000 rpm for the 2.0 liter variant. This keeps the Civic in its position as the most powerful in its class. Honda also commits itself to the preservation of the environment by making sure the Civic releases emissions that pass the level 4 of EURO, even though the regulations in the Philippines only ask for those passing EURO 2 levels.
