There are a lot of ways to market your business, club, idea, etc these days, learn how to use the power of Twitter to market and make some extra income or gain extra members.Twitter is changing the way that many people connect and do business online. It's a valuable part of your overall marketing plan for your websites and blogs. Twitter is free to join and you can get set up with an account in a matter of just a few minutes. Twitter has two main components. Just like social networking sites such as MySpace or Facebook, you can add "followers" and follow other people as well. They'll receive your updates and you'll receive theirs. What is unique is that your messages are limited just to 140 characters, which is why some people call it a "micro-blogging" tool. You have to keep your messages brief and to the point. Sometimes it's a real challenge to get the point across in the allotted space, but it also leaves room for a lot of creativity! Coming up with ways to say what you have to say in that small space is part of the fun of Twitter. It makes you think about the core aspects of the message you are trying to convey. You may also find, like me, that it helps you write shorter reports and emails generally! There are tools that work with your twitter accounts that will help you setup and maintain a successful twitter campaign, the key to marketing on Twitter is gaining loyal followers. Your followers are your lifeline and they will make or break your success on Twitter. You will need to use targeted keywords to build a successful base of followers that relate the the topic you are promoting, you could have 2500 followers but if not targeted correctly they will not benefit you or your business/organization. I would recommend using a software or tutorial to get started that way it can get you going on the right path and sometimes even automate the account for you in those times where you cannot be in front of the computer.
