A couple of weeks went by since I last wrote something. What's more, it's not only this website I'm talking about. I've been two weeks without ever writing anything about anything. It's not the first time obviously, but this time there's a different reason.
Of course, sometimes I'm stuck, writer's block and can't write my own name. Sometimes, well most times, I can't bo bothered, and sometimes I just haven't got anything relevant to write about.

Not this time, though. I want to write, I feel like writing as well, no writer's block and I've got so many things to write about I'm worried that one brain only wouldn't do it, I'd need three or four at least. I want to write about my recent trip to Austria, I want to write about a couple of BM's and about the latest Ferrari FF and for as much as I'd love not to, I will have to write about an old Alfa GTV Spider. So why this silence?

Well, I was on hiatus. The thing is, and I'm not kidding myself and nor should you, times goes by. Reluctantly but inevitably and sometimes painfully. A few weeks ago I absolutely enthused about my trip to Puglia, I was happy. Happy yes, but lucid and calm and cold. And I perfectly knew then, like I know now that I will not ever again to Puglia. At least definitely not for the reason I went there.
When I sat down and squeezed myself between the other passengers on those backbreakers that Ryanair calls seats, I was fully aware that the moments I had in Puglia were over right then and there. Sometimes you enjoy yourself and indulge in seconds that will only be memories after a few hours and you're completely 100 % conscious that THAT is gonna be your last time.

And this brings me on neatly to the Maserati GranCabrio. I've often thought about it and after much pondering I've come to the conclusion that this is the most perfect car in the world right now. It has everything, it has a 4,7 litre V8 440 hp engine that is as smooth as silk and as powerful as Russia. The ride is sublime, it feels like floating on a cloud of vanilla but goes like stink nevertheless.
It has 4 seats that can be actually used by human beings with legs, a boot where you can place all necessary things for a road trip, such as a beach towel, some clothes and a .38 caliber revolver.

The Maserati is comfortable where a Ferrari smashes your neck and ribs to smithereens, it is rapid and smooth where a Porsche is aggressive and rude and put it 'round a track with a decent driver at the wheel and I can assure you: it will be beaten by a Ferrari. BUT not by as far as you would think. So you get the best of everything. But it has a problem. It is heavy. Very heavy. And that, combined with the big engine and the wonderful sound that comes out the exhaust which will make you right foot feel like it's made out of granite means you will need to service it every 15 seconds.

It devours fuel like Pete Doherty devour pills.

Here you go, that's happiness. It makes moments flawless, pleasant and fun. But it needs
refueling. And often.
