Women have always been considered more cautious drivers compared to men. This has been proven by research made upon accident reports wherein more men were involved in accidents. That is as far as driving is concerned. The women drivers should still take particular care in their driving habits whether they are driving or not. It may sound confusing but then there are still important safety tips that women must remember. To be reminded to drive safely is a good thing. Most women drivers have no problem of driving safely. They are careful and responsible drivers on the road. However, women drivers should make it a conscious effort to always lock their car doors. Women drivers should make it a habit to lock their car doors once they get into their cars. Some women don't that's why you may have heard of reports about some women being attacked in their cars because of unlocked doors. They simply forgot to lock all doors of their cars. A lone woman driver in a car with unlocked doors while stationary on a street and stopping for a red light may be an open opportunity for some attacker. The attacker can easily pull out the woman, or worst, push her to the empty passenger seat and car nap the car along with her in it. A gruesome scenario to think of, but then it could happen, and there have been reports that they have happened in some disclosed areas. Another safety driving tip for women drivers is to place their hand bags on the floor. This is easier said than done. Most women have the habit of just placing their bags on the passenger seat once they get inside their cars. This is another opportunity for an attacker who would be able to see inside the car most especially if the car windows are clear or not heavily tinted at all. The attacker can just smash the window with some hard object like an iron bar and quickly steal the bag. It could happen since you could already have been shocked by the crashed window and already fearing for your safety. It would be a wise move for you as a woman driver to take all these necessary safety precautions. It cannot be taken for granted that we are experiencing hard times and there are desperate people like thugs, thieves, drug addicts and other similar bad people who would be on the lookout to steal anything if opportunities are open to them. Most attacks are becoming more violent so all necessary precaution must be done. Also keep in mind that next to the elderly, women drivers are the next often victims of these attacks. So next time you are driving out to go somewhere, keep in mind to drive safely, lock all your doors and remember to place your handbag on the car floor. That way there would be no untoward opportunity waiting to happen and you would always have a safe drive.
