Triple P: Playoff Pool Predictions
Dec. 14 2010
By Bryan VandeBemt

As of week 14, these are my predictions for the 2010-2011 NFL Playoffs It's still slightly premature to be taking stabs at a Superbowl Winner, but right now I'll take my shot at predicting how the playoff picture will shape up including the AFC West and South Champs with two top teams trying to fight their way in.

NFC:
Wildcard

#3 Eagles 38 vs. #6 Rams 7 ----- NFC West is a complete Joke, and if it weren't for a exceedingly strong NFC South Eagles would have gotten Bye Regardless, Eagles roll over the undeserving Rams.

#4 Bears 13 vs #5 Giants 17 ---- Classic ground and pound in what would shape to be bad weather ball game, Cutler can't perform in bad weather never mind how flustered he will get win the ferocious Giants defensive line puts a few licks on him.

Divisional

#3 Eagles 35 vs. #2 Saints 31 --- Right now Vick and his lighting fast offense will prove to be tough against any team. I couldn't see the Saints mediocre defense able to stop these guys, despite Brees leadership, I think the defending champs will stop the ride against Andy Reid's Eagles. #5 Giants 20 vs. #1 Falcons 28 - This game in the regular season, i'll add another TD for the Falcons, but in the postseason, I think the Falcons slip away from this one with a one possession victory.

Conference

#3 Eagles 17 vs. #1 Falcons 14 - Vick returns to his pre-prison roots, adding to his storybook year and doing what McNabb couldn't; taking the Eagles to the Superbowl. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFC:
Wildcard #3 Ravens 21 vs #6 Chargers 24 - I think the Chargers will find an extra gear and upset the Ravens in the Wildcard. The Ravens D is great, but you have a three-headed monster with Tolbert, Sproles, and Mathews in the backfield not to mention a Quarterback by the name of Phillip Rivers who has an abundance of weapons. I think the it will be tight, but the Ravens D is getting old.

#4 Jets 10 vs #5 Colts 21 - Manning not in the playoffs? No way. He will find a way to sneak in there and once he does, no telling how far he can go.Mark Sanchez vs. Peyton Manning puts the pick into perspective, take a look at last years game, and add on the fact that Rex Ryan can't ride the underdog card this year.

Divisional #6 Chargers 17 vs #1 Patriots 31 ---- Tom Brady could win an NFL game playing for a High School team, he is too good.

#5 Colts 27 vs #2 Steelers 28 - Peyton Manning figures out ways to win, but he doesn't play defense, and neither do the Colts. Roethlisberger isn't a second year Quarterback who spent most his college days backing up John David Booty. It'll be close, but Steelers come out on top at home. Conference #1 Patriots 27 vs #2 Steelers 20 - Seriously, Tom Brady is disgustingly good. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Super Bowl
#1 Patriots 38 vs #3 Eagles 24 - Michael Vick's Fairytale year (one that begins with his first start since being convicted for fighting dogs...) will come to a hault here. Tom Brady adds to his collection of Super Bowl rings in the 2010-2011 NFL Postseason
