Whenever it is possible, online shopping is always the best choice. You will be pleasantly surprised by how much easier it is to shop online as compared to the traditional shopping. When you have experienced the convenience of online shopping it is unlikely that you will want to go back to the old way of shopping.

Traditional ways of shopping present us with a number of difficulties. From figuring out what exactly you want to buy (you are not sure yet, you forgot your list) to the kind of brand you want, to the hassle of driving, fighting the traffic and finding a parking spot at a shopping center.

There is always the chance that we get the most inconvenient parking spot - the one farthest from the entrance. And then there is the navigating the place itself. You know the isle for item A, and then you cross the big store to get item B, only to realize item C is right next to where item A was and you realize you have to walk across the store once again.

This will all sound ridiculous when all this frustration and wasted time can be shaved off to as much as 75% when you do your shopping online.

Consider these comparisons between traditional kind of shopping with the online one. You will then be able to decide which one is the best for you.

Travel time
Online Shopping:
Zero, if you are already in front of your computer.

Traditional Shopping:

This depends on the places you go to shop, of course. For those of you who are lucky enough, it might be 15 minutes but more than likely you are going to take half an hour or even a couple of hours. Not to mention the added time of traffic lights and the driving around trying to find a parking spot.

Parking
Online Shopping:
Nothing to worry here. You always have the seat in front of your computer. Unless the cat is sitting there, of course!

Traditional Shopping:

If you are savvy enough to shop in the middle of the week, you may be lucky enough to score a strategic parking spot. But who has the time to shop during weekdays?

Finding the right aisle
Online Shopping:
This is extremely easy and in fact, you don't even have to find it. You are taken straight to where you want to be. No more tired legs, trotting back and forth between the store's ends. You can simply type the keywords for what you want to buy into the search engine and you will find what you want in mere seconds.

Traditional Shopping:
You know what is going on here already. Too much time spent walking from aisle to aisle, provided you know the exact aisle for each item. Even asking for help from a store employee does not help since they usually only an expert of their own little part of the store.

Comparison Shopping
Online Shopping
It is easy to compare stores when you are shopping online. You can visit two or more stores simply by opening multiple browser windows. If you want to you can even compare prices from 20 different vendors out there - and it takes mere seconds to do so.

Traditional Shopping:

This, however, can't be done with traditionally shopping as you would need a lot of time to be able to accomplish this. You are usually going to end up checking out three stores or four maximum before going back to the first one.

Checking Out
Online Shopping:
Checking your items and paying take only as long as it needs to click on the Paypal button and confirm your payment.

Traditional Shopping:
The chances of you finding a checkout line that has only a couple of people lining up already is pretty slim. There are also risks of customer in front of you protesting about the price or having an item with no barcode or their credit card does not work.

These are some of the considerations you can go through as you try to decide whether online shopping is for you. Remember that another thing about online shopping is that you don't need to empty your car for storage area post shopping. Your shopping goods are going to arrive on your doorstep all by themselves!
