The Sport of Pickleball
Pickleball... A sport of action and excitement that any other sport could provide, but no one knows about it. Now why would that be? Well, word of mouth... It's a great sport but 9 out of 10 people that you ask about it will say they have never heard of it before.

Now does that mean it is a bad sport? By no means at all. Pickle ball requires a minimum of 2 players to a maximum of 4, a tennis sized court, a net, some paddles, and a ball. It's like tennis and ping-pong combined to perfection.

The net is lowered to half the size of a badminton net and is about the same as a tennis net but the court is just a little smaller than a regular tennis court. The same rules of tennis applies and you return the ball back and forth, back and forth... until someone gets a point.

When you play you use a racquet, or paddle the same size as a ping pong racquet. The best brand to use is "Diller," who provides a great variety of pickleball products. Also, you need to use a wiffle ball with about 26 holes in it. The ball is quite heavy duty and really makes the game entertaining.

Pickleball was originated by some Americans who were bored one day and created the game. The actual name "Pickleball" was determined because their dog named "Pickle" always went to chase after the loose dog. And that was the beginning of this great sport.

To find more information about this sport visit,

www.pickle-ball.org

There you can view all the rules, buy equipment and read about the history. All equipment are for great prices and the site takes a great in-depth look at the game. This website is where I first discovered the game, and I loved it ever since.
