Winter is the perfect time to enjoy decorating your house and garden. Don't limit yourself to decorating for Christmas or other holiday. Instead, think of all the season and treat yourself to several months of decoration fun. Your very own decoration season can last until March giving you something to enjoy all through the winter months. And what could be a better symbol for the winter than the funny snowman? With some snowman decorations, you can decorate your home and your snowman in the yard, both for the holiday, and for the winter too.

Snowman decorations come in many varieties and you can buy them in the shops or make them yourself. Some are simple decorations that will last only one year or two. Others are keepsakes that you can use year after year. Snowman decorations can be made of just about any material, hard or soft, and can be as diverse as you can imagine. But there is one thing that they all have in common: they tend to be very cute and you can leave them up as long as you like. If you don't want to take them down on January first, better though to take those without a holiday theme so that they still fit in.

Snowman decorations can also make a very nice gift around the holidays. To make your gift unique, find a shop that offers personalization and have them add your own message, the date, the year, or somebody's name. The snowman decoration thus inscribed can be a great gift for the first holiday season in a new home or for a baby's first experience of Christmas. And it will surely be the perfect gift for somebody who collects snowman decorations.

Making your own snowman decorations can be a fun activity for the whole family. It gives the young ones and the once young the time to bond while you are decorating your snowman. Everyone in the household will have something fun to do. The smaller ones can take on easy tasks such as drawing faces and gluing together the parts of the snowman. Older children can have fun with more complicated types of snowman crafts. You can easily find online or in the shops examples and kits with all that you need for the task.

Once you are started on decorating, don't forget the snowman or woman in your own yard (or the inflatable one if there really isn't enough snow). The coal eyes and carrot nose are fun for sure, but you can always add an extra touch to that. How about giving your snowman a Halloween look in the outfit remaining from the party? Or perhaps some old shoes, a crazy wig, or funny scarves would do just nicely. Just have fun, use your imagination, and decorate your snowman as you like it. Oh, and whatever old things you use, remember to get them back in spring before the snowman melts away: there will be a decoration season next year too!
