Having dog as a pet is now becoming common and everyone wish to give his or her dog special training so that their pet can take lead among others' pets. Dog-lovers organizes mega sport events, dog's fancy dress shows and many other activities in many parts of the world to give tribute to their dogs and for this reason dog owners prepare their dogs by giving them different trainings. Some people hire professional dog trainers but this is not possible for everyone. If you are one of those who don't have access to the dog training schools or trainers then this article could be a helpful guide for you to teach your dog new tricks. One thing you must not forget is that you can only teach your dog different tricks when you and your dog has a close friendship or its better to say when there is a huge level of trust and confidence. Below are some of the tricks and tips on how to teach your dog, follow them and make your dog more prominent by showing these tricks in your neighbors or town games and shows. Spin Teaching your dog spinning is easy but it takes your little efforts. What you have to do is to place a tiny treat near your dog's nose and slowly and steady move your hand towards his tail, but make sure that your dog is turning his head following your hand. If he distracts at any point call his name loudly so that he can rejoin the procedure. Now move to another level by holding a dog food in your hand and try to grip his attention towards your hand. At this stage you have already gained your dog's confidence in following your hand. Now you can give him a direct order by moving your hand from his nose to tail as you taught him, say spin and move your hand to entice and make him familiar with this notion so that whenever you do such an act your dog randomly follows it. Though you have taught your dog how to spin but it will be great if you limit your hands circle (spin command) as a cue so that your dog get use to it, and when you just give him command (spin) by little movement of your hand he starts spinning. Crawling In Front Of Owner Before teaching this trick you should select a smooth surface so that your dog can easily crawl over. The first thing you can teach your dog is to lie down, if your dog is familiar with the practice of laying down then you can start the next step by holding a dog food in front of his nose and when he leans to eat it move it slowly forward. Repeat this method several times but give your dog little treats so that he doesn't lose interest in it. Every time you repeat say loudly 'yes' so that he can get used to this word and action. Your dog may take long time to understand this trick but once you feel that your dog is now familiar with your words and hand movement you can now add the crawling trick by moving your hand little away from your dog. Be patient it will take time and if your dog stands up instead of crawling, you should start this procedure again from the beginning. Take a Bow Everyone wish that his or her dog take a bow when they ask them to do so. This is simple but it needs little effort and clear understanding that what you want to teach your dog. You can not teach your dog unless and until you know your dog's actions, like when your dog gets up to go to sleep sometimes he stretches his body and sometime he bows down. You should have a clear understanding of how he acts; you have to make your dog familiar with your words like take a bow or bravo etc. you can do so by holding a treat near your dog's nose and lower your hand and when your dog starts following your hand, start moving your hand up and then down slowly but steadily. When he get familiar with this action say take a bow or bravo and make him get used to these words so that you don't have to hold a reward in your hand for him every time.
