Yet, how much has BP really helped? That is what everyone wants to know, including our own President. For starters, while in the past with other oil leaks, BP has stepped up to the plate. The CEO has said that they are to blame and that they are going to do all that they can in order to be sure that this doesn't happen again. They also are working to ensure that things can be done to help those whose businesses who are affected by this disaster. President Obama has seen the issues that are arising in states such as Louisiana who have been hit by hurricanes and now this. Therefore, he has worked with the CEO of BP to ensure that these businesses have the money to recoup. He knows first and foremost that this is how they make their money to live. Therefore, what he and the CEO have done was taking twenty billion dollars and makes a way that those businesses can apply for funding. The CEO of BP has also tried putting a cap on the leak. This is the first thing that they had to do. It's a shame that this has happened, but the first and foremost thing that needs to be done is this so that they can then start the clean up process. Another thing that has been done is that teams are getting together. BP is supplying anything that these teams will need to help the animals that call the beaches and the Gulf home. There are many animals that are covered in this junk and therefore, their lives depend on getting them all cleaned up. Many say that BP isn't doing enough. However, many others want to know how much more BP can do. The people at BP saying they are doing as much as they can to ensure that things are getting done the way they should be and done in a timely manner. Some people have gone about to put the blame on Obama. Yet, there are those who say what more can they do? This is the whole reason that Obama is going to where the problem really is. He and the CEO of BP have been working together when he gets back from these visits. Together, they are working to make a difference, but one wants to know how much of a difference this makes when people are switching companies. One might never know. There are a few gas stations around that are trying to make people aware that they aren't with BP. They don't want their sales to plummet. One of them companies is Lassus Handy Dandy. Here is what BP is doing so far, but many aren't too happy with this as of yet. What more will it take for this to change? BP would like to know.
