Getting a job right now is a hard task. Getting an interview is even harder, yet, it's the first step. So, you want to make sure that you don't blow it. You might be wondering what they are looking for when they interview you. So, we have asked some of the top people to see what they look for when they interview someone. Here is what they have told us.

The first thing they want to see is if you have the experience. You might find that they use a lot of tell me about a time when you did this or that. This is because they want to know that you know what you are talking about. You can tell them how you have done this and done that. These are the things that they are looking for. You have to be pretty quick on your feet with this.

They want someone who is going to take the interview seriously. If you act like a professional upon the first meeting, it shows that you are going to be that way when you go to work. Normally, those who don't even try to make an impression, then you will find that they aren't even trying to get the job. So, mind your p's and q's.

The professional will also come prepared. You might want to have questions ready. You want to know who you are interviewing with. Knowledge of the place can get you far in the interview process. You might want to make sure you know what they are looking for as well so you can show what experience you have.

The biggest thing is that they want someone who is excited to work with them. When this happens, then they are going to be excited to work. Someone who isn't excited might not be happy with the job. This is how they think. They might just come in, do the work, and leave. Part of working is working as a team. It's learning things you might not know. It's also applying yourself and going the extra mile. They say that those who are excited do just this and more.

Make sure you are on time and that you have the things you need. This is something else they look for. This is what you will have to have on the job and if you don't have just that, then this just gives them an idea of what it will be like if you get the job. Remember, everything you do at the interview reflect what they feel are the things you will do if they hire you. If it's something that's not attractive and what not, then they aren't going to hire you. Case closed. They want to be proud of you and say I hired them. Not hey you picked this guy. So, if you want that job, then in the interview, you basically have to wow them and here are ways that you can do just that.
