Paying bills is probably everyone's least favorite thing to do. That might be true, but you still have to do it. Therefore, you might be looking for things that make it a bit easier to pay bills. Here are some tips for you to keep it real when bills are the issue. Now, the first thing that I have trouble with is making sure that they get out on time. Therefore, I keep them to where I see them. I have a basket and so does my husband. We keep our bills separate and that way we keep the basket where each of us will pass by it every day. We then make it a habit to look at the dates. I also keep a calendar on the fridge that shows when my bills are due. Now, some of you might not have the time to go through each bill on a daily basis and open them to find the date that they are due. Don't worry; we have a solution for that as well. My husband writes on the outside of the envelope when it's due and how much is owed. That saves you time. Then when he pays it he puts paid and the date as well as how much he paid. Then he put them in order by due date. Now, when you sit down with the bills if you are married you should do them together. I don't know how many couples say they had never handled the bills and don't know the filing system and other things of the person who handled the bills. This way in case anything happens, you know how to handle the bills. Something else that is very helpful is filing your bills. There might be a time when they don't get a check or they might have disputed something. This way you can take it out and give them proof as to you paid that or what not. Make sure that you have stamps when you do bills. If you still do them by mailing them, this will be your best friend. How many times have you laid the bill to the side and was like I will get stamps tomorrow and then tomorrow comes and before you know it, it's a week before you mail them? Then, oops they are late. I have been there and done that. The last thing you should do is as soon as you get paid you should look at what is due. All too often we save the bills for last and then what we find is that we have blown through our check. Make sure this doesn't happen by just doing this this way. It can help you greatly. It's something to consider. These are just a few things that you can do. Everyone has their method of handling things. When you do this, you find that bill paying won't be so much of a task.
