Immune system is one the most important systems of the body and it provides resistance to live a healthy life. If your immune system is weak then your chances of suffering from different diseases is quite high because you lack the mechanism to fight against illness. For a sustainable and comfortable life everyone should adopt such habits that keep their immune system active and strong. To keep your immune system strong and healthy you just need to take care of your diet and add exercise in your daily routine. Diet is very important because it plays a vital role in the development of strong immune system and whatever you eat directly affects your immune system. Therefore it is important to keep a check on whatever you eat to have a strong immune system. Following list of foods help boost your immune system; make it your habit to add some of them in your daily diet: 1. Beef: Add three ounces of beef to your daily diet and improve the performance of your immune system. Being rich in Zinc, beef plays a vital role in strengthening your immune system. Oysters, milk, and pork etc are also rich in zinc thus can serve the purpose. But don't eat too much beef because it can be dangerous for your health too. 2. Yogurt: It is a great source of energy as it contains probiotics which makes immune system stronger. Daily use of at least ¾ cup of yogurt results in reducing the chances of getting cold by 25 % by strengthening your immune system. 3. Sea food: Iron, calcium, manganese and magnesium can be obtained from foods like salmon, tuna and lobster which boost the immune system. These foods are also good sources of vitamins A, B, C, D and E. Salmon also control against heart diseases, cancer and arthritis, and it reduces depression and enhances mental function due to the presence of additional omega-3 fatty acids. 4. Orange vegetables: Orange vegetables contain vitamin A that protects your skin and strengthen your immune system. Orange vegetables include sweet potatoes, pumpkin and carrots that are all rich in vitamin A. So don't forget to add orange vegetables to your diet as much as you can. 5. Red Bell Pepper: 200 milligrams of Vitamin C can be obtained from one red bell pepper, which is crucial for our immune system. 6. Ginger: It has many advantages like curing cold, helping body to remove toxins etc. many recipes are incomplete without ginger and It is used in many foods as an ingredient. It is very helpful in strengthening our immune system. 7. Mushroom: One may not like mushrooms but cannot deny its importance. Mushrooms like maitake and shiitake leads to the production of new white blood cells and strengthen the existing ones. It also helps to strengthen our immune system. 8. Eggs: You can also add eggs to your daily diet as they contain amino acids, vitamin B and Zinc which increases the production of white blood cells as well as antibodies improving the performance of our immune system. 9. Garlic: Due to the fact that garlic contains sulfur-based compounds, just one or two cloves of garlic can boost our immune system. 10. Broccoli: Broccoli and similar vegetables like kale, turnip, cauliflower etc are rich in vitamins A, C and E. due to the fact that glucosinolates is high in broccoli thus it improves body's immunity. Moreover Broccoli also protect against cancer. 11. Turmeric: An important ingredient of yellow curries, turmeric protect against cold and flu due to the presence of curcumin in it. It also has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic qualities. 12. Others: Eating strawberries or spinach help your body fight against cell damage as they are antioxidants. These foods are God gifted and every food has its own characteristics and abilities to fight with different diseases, so you should include these food items turn by turn in your diet. With the diet it is important to include exercise in your daily routine like going for a walk and if possible for a short jog regularly is good for health. You can improve your body resistance by strengthening your muscles and by keeping yourself active.
