There are many types of discriminations that occur on the job. However, there are many people who don't know what to look for when this happens. Many don't even know that it's happening. So, what are some of the types of discrimination that are out there?

One of the first types of discrimination on the job is gender discrimination. They might choose the guy over a woman for the job at hand. When that happens and you ask what qualifications they have over you, many find that they didn't have more experience than any other. This is hard to accept and we think that we women are on equal grounds, but in some jobs, this isn't the case at all. This is one type you will find.

Age discrimination might be something else that many deal with. There are some who discriminate among teens. They think all teens are not dependable and many more. Some elderly are forced out of jobs due to the fact that they have benefits that the company has to pay and so forth. However, you find that they force elderly people into retirement. Forty something year olds are often asked to take more vacations to keep from burnout and going through a mid life crises.

Some deal with religious discrimination. While they allow Muslims to wear their items to cover their and so forth. Yet, there are many others who will find that in many cases, sometimes, they schedule you for every day when you want to be worshiping. You might find in some cases that if you are caught praying, they might ask you to pray in silence or pray in a different manner. Many don't even pay any attention to this, but do as they are told. They aren't allowed to do this. It's a part of who you are.

Thre are some who discriminate due to the fact that you were a veteran. For some reasons, they have issues with this and this is something that you don't need. When you have to go through this, this can really give you a bad taste in your mouth.

Others might discriminate against you because you are a parent. They might make you choose between your job and your children. When they do this, they aren't taking into account that you have other roles. Many say they are family oriented. For that matter, they might also discriminate against your sexual orientation as well.

The last way that they might discriminate against you is if you have handicapped abilities. Sometimes, if you don't heal they might let you go. They might try getting rid of you for another reason, but in the end, it's because you have something keeping you from doing the job that they want you to do.

These are all things that have been said to be ways that people have been discriminated against on the job. It sucks, but you have to be prepared about it. When you are prepared for this and know what it looks like, the better chances you have of doing something about it.
