Oval pictures frames can be like a breath of fresh air among square ones and can add a plus of refinement to your home. Old family photos can gain a new brand aspect if placed in oval picture frames. You can also use them to emphasis any work of art your children might have created. Oval picture frames are available in different sizes, so you can use them for various pictures. You can either hang them on a wall or put them on a shelf; they will look great both ways. Once you learn how to determine if a photo looks good in an oval frame, you can use as many oval picture frames as you want. When placing a photo in such a frame you have to be aware if the fact that it can cut out some parts from the top and sides of the photo. The photos that have the focal point right in the middle are the best choice for oval picture frames. This way the important part of the photo will be visible. Use the glass of the frame and place it above the photo in order to get an idea on how it will look like when framed. You will see if it looks good or if some parts can't be noticed because of the oval shape. Do this on more photos in order to determine which ones are best for being placed in oval picture frames. With the glass placed on top of the photo, use a razor in order to cut the photo so that it matches the frame. This way you will make sure that the photos fit perfectly into the oval picture frame. Just use a sharp razor and watch your fingers. Mattes are also a good choice for oval picture frames.
