Coral reefs are considered as the rainforests of the deep seas for most marine life. The reefs are actually composed of tiny living animals that form polyps. These are cup-like shapes made from limestone skeletons and calcium which these living animals have formed within their own. Common threats to the coral reefs are pollution, human activities, recreational and fishing activities, land development and other similar environmental factors.
